Leadership in its business segment governs Jindal Stainless’s future strategic direction. The company’s long term objective is to create business value by maintaining a global dominant position as a leading cost competitive producer of stainless steel in the world.
Another fully integrated stainless steel plant of Jindal Stainless is in the eastern part of India located in the state of Odisha. The plant comprises of 250,000 tons per annum of Ferro Alloy’s facilities and 1 million tons per annum of stainless steel making facilities with state-of-the-art technology and equipments sourced from Siemens VAI, SMS Siemag and Andritz Sundwig. This complex with captive power generation is scalable up to 3.2 million tons per annum of stainless steel making, which will make it the world’s largest stainless steel facility at single site.
In addition, Jindal Stainless will create a Stainless Steel Industrial Park adjacent to its plant to facilitate setting up of downstream industries producing stainless steel products for various applications. The plant and the industrial park sites are well connected by the Road & Railway networks and are located within 150 kms from the mines and shipping port.
